Delicious but fiery, this nine-year-old small-batch Bourbon offers deep toffee aromatics and bold flavor. On the palate, look for relatively dry flavors: leather, cedar, dried orange peel. A splash of water softens the profile to bring out more vanilla, honey, even a touch of chocolate.
Incredible aromas of woodshop, split vanilla bean, ginger snaps, brown sugar, and a trace of candied apple. The lumber yard subsides as the whiskey opens, leveling off to reveal earthy notes of cigar box, wet tobacco, and cocoa powder, along with a touch of butterscotch pudding.
Knob Creek 15 Year Old is a Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that has been aged for 15 years. It has aromas of caramelized oak followed by hints of sweet vanilla and baking spices. The palate is smooth caramel and toffee notes paired with toasted oak and light leather.
The light amber color and the spiciness of the rye mash on the nose are immediately appealing. The bold flavor, with notes of herbs, oak and vanilla usually found in good bourbons, is pleasing, but the kick of the rye adds another layer of pleasure. In combination with sweet vermouth, it is powerful enough to maintain its own character while easily blending with the other spirit for an excellent drink.
This exceptional full-flavored product is aged twice as long as our flagship bourbon and bottled at 100 proof, offering a complex yet balanced liquid profile. Our bourbon owes its rich copper color and deep notes of caramelized oak to its extensive aging in our Kentucky rackhouses.
